Colombia Mina Rica

Available in 10 oz. biodegradable bags

This is a direct relationship coffee that started with an Instagram DM followed by a meeting over coffee between our founder/head roaster Vince and third-generation coffee farmer Carolina. Excited by Carolina saying all the things we wanted to hear about her commitment to environmental stewardship and workers’ wages we purchased a few hundred pounds of her coffee without even trying it.

Fortunately the coffee is excellent, and we’ve continued to buy more every chance we get, making it a staple of our offerings and incorporating it into our Lance Dogstrong Blend.

We taste milk chocolate, apple, slight almond.

Carolina Posada is a young, female, third generation coffee grower from the Antioquia region of Colombia. She started Mina Rica as a way to continue the family tradition of producing what they believe is some of the best coffee in the world on the backs of their multi-generational coffee heritage.

Carolina envisions Mina Rica Coffee as a way to inspire other young producers around the world, particularly young women. Her goal is to support these producers as they bring their new ideas around coffee to the market and to consumers.

She created Mina Rica to bridge these worlds. From young coffee farmers around the world, to international roasters, to the end consumer, she believes her story – and Mina Rica coffee – is a new voice in the rich tradition of world coffee.
